As part of “Green label sounds” Joey Bada$$ and DJ Premier got together in the studio and the result is the track “Unorthodox” which was released yesterday. Joey Bada$$ (and the Pro Era for that matter) have been releasing hip hop with and old school vibe so the collaboration with Dj Premier feels natural.

Swedish rapper Chords is finally back with a new solo album! Looped State of Mind is his first solo album in 3 years, and is the first one where he handles the majority of the production himself. The result is a more mellow, thoughtful album than his previous two and with an old school jazz and soul vibe. But with a sound that still sounds very fresh and unlike any hiphop from Sweden I’ve heard. Regardless if you’re usually into hip hop or not, give this a listen. Found this great album from Detroit group Clear Soul Forces on bandcamp yesterday. The group, which formed in 2009, consists of members E-Fav, L.A.Z., Noveliss, and producer/emcee Ilajide. Detroit Revolution(s) is their debut album and It’s definitely worth to check out!
